Robyn is Having a Boy!

My sweet friend Robyn is having a bouncing baby boy in a few weeks. Donna, Niki, Kelly and I gave her a shower this weekend at Niki's house. Check out the awesome diaper cake that I made! I'm pretty proud of myself for this creative little masterpiece! Thanks to Shari for coming over and helping me roll diapers.

We missed having Kelly there but she is recovering from surgery and we wish her well!

Grayson's First Basketball Game!

Grayson is playing in the summer basketball league for the YMCA. This is his first time to play on a team like this. He did a great job at his first game. He gets a little confused on the difference between offense and defense though. Good thing Kendall is an almost "pro" player and can teach him the rules!

Friday Night with Friends

When you don't have a pool you have to beat the heat in other ways. Sam and Abby came over to play on the Slip 'n Slide!

Scout Camp - Day 5

Camp came to a close today. Grayson came home loaded with crafts and prizes from the week. He learned a lot. I am glad he went. What a great experience for him. Next week he goes to YMCA day camp.

Scout Camp - Day 4

He made it through one more day! I am glad Grayson went on to camp today. He hit the target on the BB gun activity for the first time and got his Bear Claw! Do I sound like a proud mom??

Scout Camp - Day 3

Well, I was right. Grayson was too tired for camp today. When I tried to wake him up, all I got was "Mommmmm, I'm too tired. I want to stay in bed." I was tired too so I agreed to let him skip today. He was so well behaved today that it was unbelievable. I mean, Grayson is a good kid, but today everytime I told him to do something he immediately responded with "Yes, Ma'am!". He stayed out of the office and let me work with no interruptions. And this evening he helped me plant flowers in the front yard. I love my boy! He is going back to camp tomorrow!

Scout Camp - Day 2

Waiting for the next activity

Hit the target!

Nature arts and crafts

Exhausted. That is about all I can say. I was a chaperon today and I completely understand why Grayson came home so tired yesterday. I have never been to Boy Scout Camp (for obvious reasons) but I have to say I am impressed. It was very organized and well layed out. But, you have to be physically willing for all of the walking, hiking and sweating. I will admit, it was everything I imagined. Woods, trails, poison ivy, tents, rocks - they have it all. Today was much like yesterday but the kids are on a different rotation each day. Grayson earned his Eagle Claw for hitting the target on the archery activity!! I was so proud. He has yet to hit the target with the BB gun but I know he will eventually. It was all I could do not to help him out. I am a self proclaimed BB gun master!! That's pretty much all I played with growing up! We'll see if he makes it tomorrow. He says he is too tired to go despite all the fun he is having!

Scout Camp - Day 1

Grayson came home exhausted! On the first day of camp they shot BB guns and bow and arrows, went swimming, got to hold a snake and hiked. I can't imagine what else they will be doing for the rest of the week. I'll find out tomorrow. I have to chaperon!

Off to Scout Camp for the week!

Grayson boarded the bus headed to Camp Wisdom for Scout Camp at 7 am this morning. He will be attending all week with his friends. He won't be spending the night, but I think 7am - 5pm everyday is enough to wear him out everyday!

I Love You!

Jessie loves to dance! This is how she spent her time before church this morning while Kendall and I got ready to go.

Abby Higgs turned 5 last week and we celebrated with her at Life's a Beach. It's a cute little restaurant in Highland Village that has a giant sand area for the kids to play in. Other than it being 100 degrees, it was great. Thanks for inviting us to your party Abby!

Abby's Birthday Party

Grayson had a great time in Alabama with his Nani and Pappaw. His cousing Christopher stayed with them which made the time even more special. Boy were they busy! They went to VBS at First Baptist Montgomery, visited the Planetarium, played putt-putt golf, went fishing, went out to see giant remote control airplanes just to name a few of the activities. On Saturday they drove over to Atlanta where Christopher lives and Grayson got to spend the night there before flying home today. And of course the plane ride was a lot of fun. I am sure that once Nani gets home tomorrow she will want to sleep for days!!

Welcome home Grayson...we missed you!!

Happy Father's Day!

We celebrated Father's Day with Kendall and Pappaw at Fat Daddy's (of course). Kendall got a new t-shirt and a speaker for his ipod. Pappaw got a gift card to Barnes and Noble bookstore. We had a fun time with the Huff dads!

Weekend Update

Well, the grandparents are gone. Grayson went back to 'bama with Nani and Pappaw. Grayson cried, I cried. It was hard to send him. We have been apart many times, but I have never sent him away like this. I never imagined how hard it would be.

The recital was fun, but I am glad it is over. It completely stressed me out!! Jessie didn't want to get ready, I was afraid we were going to be late and she didn't want me or Kendall to leave the dressing room.

As for the rest of the weekend, we shopped, ate a lot of good food and celebrated Father's Day, Nani's b'day and Grayson's b'day with family. I will have pictures to post soon. As for now, I am in Minneapolis for a sales meeting so pictures will have to wait.

Grandparents come to visit

Grandmomma, Nani and Pappaw came in today to spend the weekend. Our nephew Christopher is here too. We plan to have a fun weekend going to Jessie's recital and doing other fun stuff that the Huffs do! Grayson will be going back to 'bama with Nani and Pappaw for the week. He is so excited and I am so nervous!

Snoring...

Grayson had so much fun at Sam's house yesterday that he came home and crashed on the couch. I have never heard him snore before. Turn your volume up, this is pretty funny. He sounds like a man!

Rounding out the weekend...

After a jam packed weekend of parties, movies, swimming and more, we decided to stay home today and play in the spriklers. Ian came over for some summer fun!

ROCK BAND

Dave and Shari have a Playstation 3 with a game called Rock Band. There are drums, guitars and karoke. They had their second rock band party last night. Since it is a "rock band" theme, we decided to play the part and we all dressed up like heavy metal rockers - complete with fake tatoos and colored hair! It was so fun. We sang and played music for hours. Our kids officially think we are crazy and a little scary!

Pokemon Battles - Game On!

Grayson's friends came over to battle each other on the Wii for his birthday party. We made Pokemon shirts with iron on transfers (Thanks Shari for your help on that!) and the guys all wore them as they battled each other. They enjoyed pizza and cupcakes after we opened gifts. It was a great time.
