After much coercion, Jessie finally decided the float would be fun

Busy Weekend
Busy, busy. That's all I can say. I took the kids swimming at the Aquatic Center on Friday for a few hours and that night we had our Sunday School class social at Grapevine Springs Park. Lot's of fun, even in the heat. Saturday Grayson had a basketball game and then we went on over to the Higgs' house for some swimming and belated birthday celebrations for Abby! We were in the pool all afternoon and of course got in to the "Rock Band" spirit later in the evening. Today was church, lunch with friends and float building! Katie and I sweated so much, I am sure we were close to dehydration! Here are a couple of the swim pictures from Saturday!

HE'S HOME!!!!
Grayson Goes to Bama
Grayson spent the last 9 days in Prattville, AL with his grandparents! He had a blast. Pappaw had fun things planned everyday - not to mention they had VBS for a week! Movies, swimming, bowling and Desoto Caverns are just a few of the fun activities! He was excited to be there but excited to come home to his toys and sister too!

Happy Father's Day
Since it is Father's Day, Kendall got to pick our destination for lunch and the activity of the day. So, after a little picnic of Chicken Express we fed the ducks at Duck Pond Park. It is sad not having Grayson here today to celebrate with Kendall. But Jessie sure is enjoying her daddy time. As I sit here and blog, they are outside chasing each other with water guns! I think I will go join them now...
Nani's Birthday Celebration!
Nani turned 70 last month, so the Texas Huffs drove to Atlanta to stay with the Georgia Huffs and celebrate with the the Alabama Huffs (Nani and Pappaw)! The birthday dinner was at a German restaurant and the rest of the weekend was spent hanging out at Derrick and Amy's letting the kids play and enjoy their grandparents.

Visiting in Bama - A Short Visit
This past weekend we drove from Dallas to Atlanta (I know, crazy!) and stopped in Birmingham for a very quick visit with cousins and friends. Unfortunately, some of the pics of Wendy and her kids wouldn't download from my SONY (crappy) camera so you have to check those out on my facebook page. But here are my sweet little niece and nephew.

Grayson turns 8
My first born is 8 years old!!! The party was at Grapevine Springs Park on Saturday. All the kids brought water guns (the only free activity I could think of!). They had a great time shooting each other with creek water - next time I should warn the parents that their children may come home with parasites!! Oh well, they are 8 year old boys!
Kyler and Jackson are getting ammunition!
Run or I will squirt you!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY SWEET BOY!
FBC Security Training
okay, these are pictures from our church security training. the coppell fire and police departments joined our security team for some practice on what would happen if we had a major incident at church. katie, courtney, jessica and me all volunteered to participate as victims. (mainly because we wanted the firemen to carry us out!) we had so much fun doing this. a little too much fun actually! we wore blood stained shirts and pretended to be shot by a mad gunman! we named ourselves "SWAT CRASHERS". our plan is to show up at random security training sessions in other organizations and be the victims!!!
injured in the church pew!
